About Image Color Palette
Extract dominant image colors and export HEX, RGB or CSS variables locally.
The image is sampled into a small canvas, similar colors are grouped and frequent distinct colors are selected. Transparent pixels contribute less, and fully transparent pixels are ignored.
How to use it
- Select a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Choose between 2 and 16 colors and an export format.
- Extract the palette and copy or download the color values.
Common use cases
- Build a starting palette for a website, illustration or presentation from a reference photograph.
Worked example
Extract six colors from a landscape and download --color-1 through --color-6 as CSS variables.
Limitations and responsible use
- Up to 25 MB and 40 megapixels. The sampled palette is approximate and may contain fewer colors than requested. It is not a print color profile or an accessibility contrast check.
